1.
What does the work say about the fundamental
relationship between man and Allah? What is mankind’s responsibility to Allah?
Allah created man for his own recognition and love. But at the same times man
is the most beautiful art out of all beings created by him. Mans responsibility
to Allah is to know him and love him and not be tempted by the devil
2.
How are women to be treated? Why? I feel like
women in the Koran have some of the same tasks and responsibilities as men and
that they must help and support each other. There are a few differences in
social issues but I think that is for the women’s protection. I feel like the
men have to take care of their women really well. They are also big on women
with bad morals not to marry a man with good morals or vice versa.
3.
What are the people from the book and what is
their relationship to the revelation of Allah and to those who accept him? I
believe that people from the book are what I know of as famous bible personages
like Moses, Mary, and Jesus etc. and if they accept Allah then he will be on
their side on the judgment day and bad things won’t happen to them.
4.
Compare and contrast the views of god and
morality described in the Koran with those found in the Hebrew Scriptures and
the New Testament. I think they both believe in one god and they believe that
god is the origin and source of all that exists.
5.
What advice does the Koran give to Christians?
It tells them that the true followers of Christ will triumph. It says things like do not be jealous of those who are blessed,
pardon gracefully if anyone among you who commits a bad deed out of ignorance,
and then repents and amends, keep yourself clean, pure, and lots of good things
in my mind.
6.
Why
should one accept this revelation? Well it really is a good message to live by.
I mean there are religions for a reason and they are here to make the world a
better place.
7.
What
is the role of the prophets in general and of Muhammad in particular? Mohammad
is the founder of Islam. And he was told to deliver the whole Koran. But god can be the only teacher of the Koran.
8.
What
is the evidence given for this being work of revelation? I was kind of confused
of what evidence they have. It talked about the people of the book having clear
evidence, maybe because they had firsthand accounts with Allah. And they have worshiped and were true to his
teachings.
