TAO TE CHING

“We know beauty because there is ugly.
We know good because there is evil.”
This phrase is incredibly true in my point of view. We live in a world where looks are everything. Some women wanted to look good because they felt ugly hence why make up is such a big part of a women’s life. Maybe if everyone looked the same no one would know what ugly or pretty is and there would be a world where there was no such thing as makeup! That goes for good and evil too. If everyone was nice know one would have any idea what evil is. But if that was our life, I would feel there would be no point to it.

“Wise people are not absorbed
                in their own needs.
They take the needs of all people
                as their own.”
Once again this phrase is a lot like the many things I have learned in church. I’m taught that when I am feeling down and I am super absorbed in my own life to serve someone. I’ve learned that this is true. There is something weird about service, when I serve other I automatically have this warm pleasant feeling overtake me. So a wise person in reality would take the needs of others so it gives them a chance to serve, therefore making them a happier person instead of soaking in their own life problems.
